The Joker
Voice : Suno
The Joker is a song that is funny, tender and introspective all at once, about those moments when we take a hard look at our lives and wonder whether there might still be time to change course. Between procrastination, comforting little routines and dreams constantly put off until tomorrow, the narrator is suddenly confronted with a dizzying question: what would the person he will become twenty years from now think of him today?
Through images of everyday life – dishes piling up in the sink, dirty laundry waiting to be dealt with, a computer screen displaying blank pages – the song humorously evokes our compromises, our delays and our missed opportunities. But it also carries a message of hope: as long as the story is not over, we can still take control of our destiny.
The “joker” becomes a metaphor for a second chance, for the right we all have to correct our mistakes, change our lives, or simply become true again to our deepest aspirations. A song about the passing of time, childhood dreams, and the possibility of rewriting our future before it is too late.

The lyrics of the song The Joker
It's already ten o'clock
I'm still here in my pajamas
I switch on the computer
And drink my hot chocolate
The screen shows me an empty file
The pages of my life still blank
The dried-up dreams inside my head
The long black nights I never sleep
What if I could rewrite the story?
Don't we all deserve some happiness?
For years I've always stayed up late
And never been an early riser
Was yesterday really any better?
Tomorrow I'll turn my life around
Before I end up down in hell
We all deserve one wild card
The dishes piled up in the sink
Are giving me a dirty look
Ten past ten, they seem to say
And you still haven't had a shower
What if somebody rang your bell
Right here, right now, outside your door?
The you you'll be in twenty years
Would they be proud of you at all
What if I could rewrite the story?
Don't we all deserve some happiness?
For years I've always stayed up late
And never been an early riser
Was yesterday really any better?
Tomorrow I'll turn my life around
Before I end up down in hell
We all deserve one wild card
The dirty laundry in the basket
Is waiting for its lucky day
The washing machine has broken down
And Mom has gone away
And if that visitor from the future
Asked me softly, face to face
What did you do with all my childhood dreams?
I'd better start today
What if I could rewrite the story?
Don't we all deserve some happiness?
For years I've always stayed up late
And never been an early riser
Was yesterday really any better?
Tomorrow I'll turn my life around
Before I end up down in hell
We all deserve one wild card
Was yesterday really any better?
Tomorrow I'll turn my life around
Before the dealer calls the game
I'll finally play my wild card
